I just got off the phone with an Apex'i USA and thought anybody interested in this great deal would like to know what he said about the coilovers.

1) The N1 pro's have a 52mm valve body compared to the 46mm valve body of the v's.

2) The N1 pro is geared more toward track/circuit than the v.

3) The N1 pro is valved stiffer than the v.

4) Spring rates of 8f/6r on the S13's for the N1's.

4) There is a 60 day warranty on the coilovers.

5) They are rebuildable by Apex'i USA at about $85 / shock with a 2 week turn around.

6) Apex'i coilovers are designed to clear stock wheels.

I'm skeptical about them clearing stock wheels though.
If this post isn't appropriate, I can edit/remove it.

They will clear stock wheels. Apex lower brackets are HUUUUGE. My best friend has them and i have seen the pics on his stock base model S13 wheels. One problem though is a slightly increased scrub radius and more prone to bump steer. BUT, well worth all that clearance... its like running low offset wheels, but you can keep stock fenders. This is good because a 17x9 +30 will fit in the front fine with no spacers. On other coilovers, it will most likely need a 5mm+ spacer, and then more neg camber to tuck it in on stock fenders. Anyway, all those are from experience and solid evidence. Not that mauch of it had to do with stock wheels though.:o

This is so tempting. I'm not happy with the dampening on the Tein HE's and I've been looking for a better alternative.

I was considering JIC FLT-A2's, but the pricing on the S13 N1 Pro Damper is so attractive. Can anybody offer a comparison/opinion between the two?

Edit:

The S13 type V is sold out as far as we know at this point, S14 ones I think are still accessible. But we'll reflect the selection on our webpage either remove the model selection or with the word 'SOLD OUT'.

Thanks.

I just wanna comment that larger brackets do not increase scrub radius. The steering axis is an imaginary line that runs from the middle of the top of the strut through the lower ball joint, into the ground. Angle of the steering axis is not changed by the angle of the strut.

Scrub radius is the distance b/w the center of the contact patch, and where the steering axis meets the contact patch.
