have you checked the suspension parts, bolts, bushings, etc?

What kind of coils?

Sounds like the top nut is loose. My coils did the same thing when I first got them.

nope its the nut under the dampening nob jst tighten that up and see if it works, mine use to make so much noise on every bump found that was my problem

I had the same coils.

Its completely normal as long as you preloaded them correctly.

try tightening down the upper bolt. It helps a lot.
But yes its normal.
I actually called stance to ask that!

it turns out there was nothing wrong with the coilover, after having the car up on the lift i was able to see that the noise was coming from a weighted block that sits above the control arm or another steel piece connected to the suspension. The weight is there to help the stock suspension not contract as much. The one side came loose and started to bang against my frame, i found out since i have coilovers the weight was pointless and removed it from both sides, saved myself 10 pounds haha...check it out if you have them on yours...
