i have one that i just pull out of my cars. miles: 127986 on it, blown the motor in 2003 tranny still works. havn't drove it since then. if your intrested i can give it too you for only $40. n can even send you pix, it comes w\ tranny harness, conver. i live in CA sf area and i can ship it to you. let me know.

Hit up your local junkyards. I hate to say it, but I dont think youre gonna find a ton of people on here that are alabama local. (alhambra?) Your best bet will be a junkyard, they shouldnt want more than $100 for one, and if they do you can tell them to fuck themselves.

I personally would never but a tranny there. 9 times out of a 10, the reason a car is there is a blown motor, tranny, or collision and they don't want to repair it. That's pretty good odds that it may be fvcked.

Ive bought a couple transmissions from junkyards. The one in my S14 currently being one of them. A lot of junkyards keep stock of parts like that, that they know to be in working condition. My trans was already pulled out of a car, stored in a shipping container, tagged and labeled with the mileage on it. It had 158k on it when I got it, so it grinds sometimes, but other than that its fine. Not bad for $130.
