Just helped a friend with this. It may be your Throttle Position Sensor, it may not be plugged in or faulty or set incorrectly.

It also could be one or more of your injectors took a shit. You would need to remove the harness plugs that plugs into each injector, and use a Multimeter to check the injectors to see if they are 11 ohms (which is good) and 0 ohms is bad injectors.

Surbaru = Bad injector(s) or Maf
Jerking = TPS

could also test your MAF. I've seen a few infinitis/nissans w/ bad bogging issues where the maf was bad.

im sure its your injectors. as the car is running at idle, try removing each spark plug one at a time and see if there is any difference in idle. if not, put it back and try the next. it will help you eliminate part of the possibilities. to me, it sounds like your injectors, one of them either maybe going out or the o-rings are just going bad. so try the injectors and report back here to help future zilvians.!

the problem is that you haven't upgraded to pushrod power. get a modern engine man.

It's made by cadillac. Comes with an ls. I understood him just fine.

A while back my car jerked the way you describe. When I went under the hood i rep'd the MAF and actually found that my Spark Plug wells had water in them(1) and the ones that didn't have water in them had spark plug wires not seating properly(2)

While this might not be the problem, its definitely something worth checking out :O gl

but seriously i think you messed up some wiring. that explains your compound issues.

cts=coolant temperature sensor
the car would bog and turn off,run really hot and turn off then had to wait
like 20 mins for it to think its cool enuff to run and also ran really rich black smoke
would shoot out

Its hard to find someone that will actually go and help you fix your car. especially for free... Might as well take it to a shop and see how much it costs.
