You better search or you going to get owned.....

Powered by max, probably best at the same price range. Rest like BC and stance... I really don't like....

KW V3 is around 1500 and that is pretty amazing stuff... Anytthing beyond that like DG5 or Zeal Function X that is pretty good

Which are better for what? Find out the difference between the two and go with the one that suits your needs.

It depends how you want your car to ride...I have the Track ones which are stiffer...I am satisfied how they ride

Megan tracks for sure. Or else, why would they make them if they weren't better?

Both are junk with stock springs..... better springs and thrust bearings help a lot. 12/10 is wayyy over killl....

i haaaate my megans they max out so soon in the rear.. and yeah i had street and the body roll was ridiculous so i just bought some 10k12k springs and i love them. if im not mistaken i heard that megan streets and tracks are basically the same coilover, just with different spring rates

Dude for the price if I can do this all over again, just get powered by max. Dampening is better, it goes lower, the shocks and spring match better...

Anything you buy from Megan- dont expect it to last any more than six months.

If it does, great, you lucked out. But Megan makes crap. I would strongly recommend something legitimate.

Ive never bought anything from Megan that I didnt regret.

Megan Streets have a ride more suited to the streets whereas Megan Tracks have a ride that more suited to the track.

Look at your plans for your car and decide based on that, it's pretty simple.

Though, I would suggest that you save up another $200 or so and get yourself something with a better track record, because as people have said before, Megan Coilovers aren't the greatest out there, though it seems that the quality has been improving since their introduction.

+11111

Save like $200 more and buy PBM or Stance... You'll regret getting Megans. Why cheap out on the most important suspension part??

Ive had my megan track coilovers for almost 2 years and have no problems out of them. The track coilovers are 32 way adjustable. The ride is kinda harsh for everyday driving but thats just my opinion. Overall I am satisified with them :)

I ran Megan Streets for a while, and I can say that for a 'street' based car they really ae a decent coilover for the money. Sure this was a few years back, but at the time I wasn't sure how into the HPDE and track events I would have become (as I now have Koni's and Custom housings/springs)

The best advice for these, is to get the street ones (8/6) and simply remove the preload on them and keep the adjustment in the lower half of 'soft' (as anyhting beyond half way is rediculous)

Honestly i would say just follow everyone's advice and just save up a lil extra $$$$ before you regret it in the long run and are :duh::duh:.

My buddy has Streets in his GF's hatch 240sx and hates them, I myself wanted some Tracks but then after experiencing the streets for a while i decided to just save up the extra money and i got some Ksport Slide Kontrol's ive had them for about 2 months now and love them (when i drove the car because the cars taken apart lol)

Take the time and decide honestly you don't want to sacrifice performance over trying to save a few dollars so make the best judgment and make the best decision and GL with that. :bigok:

I currently run megan tracks with swift springs and thrust bearings... I gotta admit they feel AMAZING after taking them down to 10/8 on swifts....

Its just the spring is very shitty on megans.... oh wellz...

See that would work perfectly too. Again, the basic coilover for someone just riding on the street will be just fine. I know many people will bash others on here (not you, but you know how this place can get hehe) for not running big name stuff, yet they also never see the track or usage...to me that's a waste in itself.

If the goals are

1. Low
2. Stiff
3. Handle better

MR Streets will be fine

^^ Damn man... too bad you on the OTHER side of the country.... We should get all the premies and suspension guys together to test stuff out.... that would be so awesome....

GC's are awesome too but I have to ride to see.... I rode stance's the other day and I am not impressed at all.... so hmmm... $1k coilovers are 1k coilovers lol....

KW V3's felt nice... But then I can go GC Coils for the same price....

I'll be honest, the 8611 Koni setup rides like a freakin dream with the 550/450 springs I have in it...Really sorted, no crazy jarring (well, unless you crank them up haha) and rebuildable!

I usually run no clicks on street, and about 1/2 turn on top for street as well. Track I haven't been able to test yet, every weekend ends up being shot for me.

honestly for the dollar i couldnt be happier with my megans(streets), i got them at a pretty decent price(700) brand new. they did exactly what i wanted them to do , i went to a couple track events, plenty of canyon and had fun with them, never had any problems. my brother is on stances(gr+ pros) and in all honesty they DO feel better and go lower, the ride feels more crisp on stance, but he also paid like 500 bucks more for them.

-if your bothered by the body roll with the streets (8kfront, 6krear) then you could always get a spring with a stiffer spring rate(swift, spl, stance, megan) maybe run a 10k front and 8 rear would prolly be nice, but then your spending a little bit more, where at that rate i would go ahead and buy PBM ,Dmax, or stance.but streets are just fine IMO.

I have both the Street and Track. They're the cheapest coilovers you can buy so you get what you pay for.

If you want something cheap to replace broken struts/springs then go for it. If you care about performance and ride quality then you need to do research.

But you know... all those coilovers have about the same junk springs on them.... Not sure about PBM or DMAX, but Stance their springs are junk too...

The philosophy is get something that is cheap and decent like megans but if you going to get gr+'s which is about 1200ish, why not just buy KW V3 those are like 1500... make no sense....

Tanabe Sustec Pros are awesome for street! not the lowest but the ride is amazing
