You have 79 posts, why not search a little more, this has been discussed till the cow's died of old age after they came back from the pasture.... come on!

What the hell does my post count have to do with a misfire ass ?? I just wanted a little input on why it may still be missing and why i have to crank the cas all the way over when i feel like i did everything correctly! Useless post :madfawk:

Just a quick edit for the record... It doesnt "ALMOST START", it runs, and You dont have to post to search... I have been dealing with this problem for over a week and have been searching the whole time! It wasnt misfiring when i first drove it after i did the swap. just recently...

im having this same problem you have to turn the cas all the way to the corner to get 15deg right?

im thinking its my timing gun
so i just guess and bolted the cas in the middle and it runs fine but i just guessed i need another timing gun to make sure.

i also did exactly wat the fsm said to do.
but still no luck...

someone help!!!!

i found a guy on the internet that had the same problem it ended being his wire harness for the cas some of the wires came loose off the clip.

i looked around my wires but they seem great...

here it is: SR20DET performance glitch - Nissan Forums: Nissan Forum (http://www.nissanforums.com/sr20de-det-engines/127775-sr20det-performance-glitch.html)
if you fix it lmk please.

Well why don't you read the thread I posted and see if you went through it first....

And do you really think you are the first person to have this exact problem in the 15 years your motor has been around. Do you think its the first time someone on this forum has had this exact problem? Seriously....

Holy shit, are you serious? NO i dont think i am the first person to have this problem which is why i posted the issue up for help! Hoping that i would get someone that has had the issue to throw some pointers my way.

I read your little write up and even though it was informative, it however DID NOT solve my problem. which is why I am still on here.

It pisses me off when everyones first answer is SEARCH. If you had some type of little SEARCH-O-METER strapped to your computer that tells you how much a person does or does not search before they post a question then i could understand the ever so common "search before you ask" comments. But as I am POSITIVE that you dont (because i have been searching) then please dont tell me to search!
If youd like ill take a screenshot of the history (for the past week +) on my computer and show you how much i have been searching (google and forum after forum after forum...)

Again thanks for the write up but unless i am reading it wrong, i have done everything correctly, Especially considering that i have not had the cams or timing chain off of the engine...

I'm just gonna throw this out there, and say for some of you that followed the fsm and searched. It's probably your base Idle.
Also that video sucked ass! Sounded like a single engine Sesna!

do you mean the car is possibly idling too high when trying to set the timing? because it does have a fairly high idle!

Just an update. I ended up cleaning the MAF with the spray cleaner and it had a huge impact on the way the car ran! So to anyone that is searching this problem you may want to try that out. Dont forget the small stuff. This thread still pisses me off to read, I hate assinine comments...
