getting a LOT of email

i don't know if anyone else has been having this problem, but i always get 7+ emails saying that someone has replied to the thread " PICTURE THREAD! Post your car HERE" when in actuality noone has. i've gotten those emails for the last week or so and it's kind of annoying. with other threads the email update works fine tho.

hehe, yea. i kno i could just unsubscribe to it. it's just that it's weird how it keeps saying people have replied, when noone actually has. aren't we only supposed to get emails when someone has actually replied to a topic?

try this:

user cp
edit options


look at this section: Messaging & Notification

make sure you have "Use 'Email Notification' by default?" set to "no"

that might do the trick.check all your settings


you also might get a reply if someone edited thier post, not 100% sure on that though..

019, the same thing has been happening to me. It drives me nuts. And, it's not always the same name of the person who has replied.

actually, dousan, i want to have the email notification on. so i know when people reply to some post i posted in (that's what email notification is, right? if i'm wrong, let me know). like lexan, i get emails saying a different person replied in ever email i get. but when in fact, noone has replied. if it's because people edited their post, then it makes some sort of sense. anyhow, i just wanted to let the mods know of my little problem.
