300zx brakes and wheel clearance

I searched and found nothing.

I am looking to upgrade to 300zx brakes (cast iron 93+)And I have it all figured out except for wheels. I would like to buy 5zigen typhoons, but I hate spacers. I was wondering if 17 x 8 typhoons with +35 offset will clear the brakes without spacers. Does anyone have a list of wheels that will clear the brakes? This is an S13 by the way.

it really depends on the design of the wheel, considering the stock s14 wheel is a 16x6.5 and that clears the Z calipers, so design is important.

I dont think so, at least not the fron brakes. I know people use Z31 15" wheels on the back of Z32's for slick tires and stuff, but on the front I would be hard pressed to think a 15" would fit over them.

stock 15" alloys fit Z brakes (26mm, that is).

um....i have kosei k1s in 15x7 and they clear zbrakes 100% perfect. 30mm ones too. 15" wheel clearance depends on wheel design (diameter). not only spoke desing but wheel design (diameter) too for 15s.

SSR mesh (reverse and formula) wheels clear z brakes as well (not spokes but the 15" diameter)

Didnt say it wouldnt, just that unless you have talked to someone who has ran 15" and know that they will fit, I would not expect them too. Glad you came along :D

for reference, I believe the 300zx spare is 15".

They will fit 15s. THanks for the help guys. Now I have to choose between K1/P1s and thphoons in silver. hmmm. Probably typhoons.
