RAD EXPERIENCE- Fund raising - Jan 30 and 31 - Balcony

We are doing a fund raising for our friend and fabricator Robert Pagglia. He has over 15 years experience and has been in the scene for longer.

Marcelo, Roberts son, was born prematurely. He had Cerebral Palsy, had a shunt, and had a lot of other complications. He was living in pain. Doctors said that he would be lucky if he goes past 12 years old.

Dec 27, 2009, he had difficulty of breathing. Robert took him to the hospital, they had no significant findings and sent them home.

Dec 30, 2009, he had severe difficulty of breathing again. Robert had to give him cpr, but unfortunately he did not make it. He passed away at the early age of 12. Autopsy reported cause of death to be pneumonia.

His funeral services will be on Thursday, Jan 7, 2010.

Thanks to the help of Willow Springs International Raceway, we are raising funds to help out Marcelo's family.

January 30 and 31 (Saturday and Sunday) we are doing an all drift event for $150 only.

If you decide to do a one day, it will only be $80.

Balcony is SUPER easy on tires!! But if you have gobs and gobs of power then that's different. I've heard of people tearing up brand new pairs of tires in 2-3 runs on balcony.

I have a KA and it took me 2 half day events (so about 1 full event) to kill one brand new pair of tires.

I'm gonna work on my wire harness on monday and hopefully everything will be ready! I already have 3 pairs of brand new tires just waiting to be torn up!!! haha

I agree! I have a KA and usually I bring 2 pairs of tires for one day in balcony but if you want you can bring more just to be sure. Also they have a tire mounting place inside WSIR and outside WSIR.

The first session or two, for beginners can be skid pad/figure 8 session, but I think Ryan usually takes a vote and goes with the majority.

first time at the track and that shyt wass dope !!! I got a dent on my QP but it's all goood it didn't stop me from sliding haha thanks to all the RAD staff for all the help and tips and also thanks for towing my car out of the sand when I ran into the mountain and got stuck LOL

Doode, 4 blown shock, turbo manifold gasket leak, and ticketed for towing in the far left lane. but loved every minute of it.. awesome event.

i was the only guy running no exhaust wheel dropping everything and had the greddy front mount in the front, dark green hatch :)

lol dont know how much the ticket would be, but i hope its not expensive or it will really set me back. it was right after sand canyon when i passed ryan. what luck right?

i bought my shocks used, and with all the hard driving they finally had enough. the front right was the worst, oil everywhere!!

I was driving the dark blue almost black s13 coupe haha with the Silvia front end I was there both days I was parked right by the entrace to get in the track

this was my first time at the track and first time drifting. ryan convinced me to do both days. i spun out a lot because i couldn't seem to get the second turn sometimes even the first. Thanks guys for all your support and help. this was truly a rad experience!!!
