I got a 1995 240sx se with a check engine light (82)which everywhere i read is the Cas/CpS (crank angle senser/crank positioning sensor).I replaced the distributor with another one from a no check engine light car(the guy i got it from is doin a sr swap).I installed it made sure the timing is at 20'degrees advance from TDC car starts and runs fine but still a check engine light and yes i reset the codes i'm not a idiot so don't try to flame. All help is appreciated thx alot.

I will flame you, because a code 82 is the crank position sensor which has absolutely nothing to do with the distributor. The distributor encases the camshaft position sensor, completely unrelated.

The crank position sensor sits on the bellhousing, used for diagnostics only. There's literally thousands of threads about it. You probably broke it during a clutch job like everyone else does.

CPS - crank position sensor
CMPS - camshaft position sensor
