i recently did a 5speed swap on my 95 s14. it took me a couple days to get the wiring done on the trany, the car drives fine but my speedometter is marking wrong, it doubles the speed, i thought i had my wires crossed on my speed censor for the tranz but it wasnt it.
before i put my trany in, i placed the automatic tranz and the 5speed tranz aside and compared both of the speed censors and the automatic on had a bigger gearingsize then the 5speed one so i dont know if that has to do with my speedometter is reading bad?
if anyone could give me some info on this it would be deeply appreciated!

Does your manual speed sensor look like this?

You have a s13 speed sensor you need a s14 speed sensor(Pictured above) the automatic one wont work tho it doesnt fit the transmission must be a manual s14 speed sensor, they make new ones but they are about 150 bucks plus the little gear you have to buy at nissan...

No, that's an S14 manual speed sensor.

Are you sure it looks identical to the one pictured? If it's not a wrong VSS, I really don't know what it could be.

you could also check to see if the ecu or aftermarket meter is receiving the same speed. Maybe the gauge is fubared?! That's if you have the correct sensor, and wiring is good and what not! my 2¢.

We discuss speed sensors on here weekly because some fucktard like you can't search. So instead of creating yet another thread, why not do just that, search for your answer?

But, I enjoy wasting time.....

It's the people like you who continually make the exact same threads as the other hundred before you that ruin the site and waste everyone's time. We document this stuff for a reason. Being a lazy piece of shit who can't do their on research isn't an excuse. You need to try harder or wash out your mouth with a bullet. 9mm preferably.

But he posted this thread FOR THE LOVE OF DRIFT!!! (which, by the way will be a reality show on VH1 starting in March)
We're supposed to act as if we haven't ALL seen this question a million times and just answer him, for the simple fact that we want him to feel special.
