I am doing an engine build, and I am wondering what are the most overlooked weak points with the KA24DE? I'm guessing the head is not the most desireable in stock form. I also was looking at the stock intake manifold and had some ideas for improvements but i'm not sure where to begin. I have opted out of using the Excessive intake but I would like to enhance the stock intakes power potential. I thought of having Maxbore bore my throttle body and portmatch my intake flange and adding an underdrive TB pulley.

The bottom end will be fresh with Arias pistons, and Sportsman rods. I will use a good stock crank, and the internals will be balanced.

Other goodies i'll use: probably a nistune, Crower V3s, 370cc injectors, and a Walbro pump

A. There are a thousand other threads like this.

B. You have another thread about NA KA's up already, ask in there.
