i just picked up a 92 vert yesterday. very good condition, 180k and bonestock, came with a new top and 5spd swap, not installed.

anywho, i am going on 6,4 and i am kindof cramped in there driving the automatic. the only way i could really make any more space for when i do the tranny swap is make some flat door panels out of aluminum. does anybody else have this problem or any better ideas?

Yeah, s13's are not known for the vast amount of room in them. I am 6'1" and do not like the room that I have in my coupe. I have actually never driven a vert but are you hitting the top because I am close to the top in my coupe with the sunroof.

I am about 6'1". When I have my helmet on it touches the roof. If I am going to continue racing this car I need to think about custom mounting my seat, or something.

My wrx has a shitload of head room.

1) get a bigger car you fit in

2) cut your legs at the knee and weld correct length extention rods

3) sit in the back seat and drive

this thread is pointless

It would probably be easier to cut out the cat hump and weld in steel instead of aluminum.

or sell it and get a s14, they have more room :D

i suggest you get a seat that sits lower and get nagisa rails those are supposedly the lowest rails for the s13

Um, push the seat back? The seat goes back far enough for like a 7'6" person.

Screw this rail talk.

Bolt the seat to the floor.

lowering the seat wouldnt help, that would make my legs longer, being that they would be straight out.
raising up the seat would bend my legs, do s14 seats sit higher?

Get a bucket and give it that gangster lean.

I'm 6'3 and have longer than average legs for someone of my height.

I fit just fine, don't know what your problem is.

damn...thought this was a jeff abbott thread. custom make seat rails with mounting points for the bucket to be farther back. Should be a simple solution...I'm sure people can do it.

orrrrrr....get a bucket seat for the back seat! LMAO at my own joke ! hahaha oh, and steering wheel adapters that are longer...unless you have monkey arms too.

I'm 6'5" and I sit with the seat about an inch forward from the full back position, and I have about three fingers between my head and the sunroof. You could try cutting away some of the foam in your stock seat.

i am very odly proportioned to.. im very lanky with long arms and legs lol. i have a short body, so my head isnt hitting the top or even close to the roof. ill play around with the sliders, try to mount them farther back somehow

I have a big head a short body and short arms, but have long legs. I can see the road but cannot reach the steering wheel but I sure can step on the pedals just fine sitting on the back seat, wearing a helmet is a different story. can someone please steer the car while I dorifto?!?!

well on a serious note just get a bucket seat and a custom base that places the seat further back.

just make sure its someone whos good at fabing things up you dont want hack welds.

u never know the demand may be out there and you can supply it for the big and tall.

Screw this rail talk.

Bolt the seat to the floor.

agreed.

if you think you're that tall (i doubt it), take the rails off and get someone to weld the seat to the floor in the position that is most comfortable for you.

IM Not Hitting The Roof! my knees are getting jammed up with the steering wheel. i moved the wheel uncomfortably high and am trying to get used to it.

With Dousan^^
I'm 6'2" and bought Bride ultra low rails and a short hub. With the seat alllll the way back, it's more than comfortable to drive.
