yeahyeahyeah night ran a 11.9 with lsd, but how fast would a otherwise stock S13, with RB25det, lsd, r33 GTR wheels and falken azenis run 1/4 mile? A friend of mine thinks low 13s, but I think that with the tires and wheels, high 11, like 11.9. remember, Im a good driver, but not excellent. so what you think, 11.9 or 13.1?

low 9s w/a bad driver

high 8s with joe blow

low 6s with me behind the wheel.

Waaaaay too many variables to take in to account here. Wanna know the answer? Get a S13, drop in a RB25, and take it to the track.

what variables? Im not asking for anything more than a rough estimate. Its a standard track, in Saint Louis

The driver is a HUGE impact in any kind of driving. Because of this, there is no such thing as a "rough estimate."

Take 250hp, 2700lb car, head to Google, find a performance calculator of sorts, and have a blast! :-)

well according to that stuff, if I get 100 pounds out of the car, and I should run a 12.5, but with better tires, 12.3, and since I am so incredibly cool ( :p ) I should run 12.2, and with the added traction from the lsd, 12.1.

Those damn calculators dont work
I put 2950 lbs for a rough weight estimate and gave myself 157 flywheel hp and it says 16.3
i mean its only a second off  :p

Buy a clue - you sure do have a "simple" way of thinking about what it takes to drag = you'll run 17's for sure.

I dont like people thinking im a dumbass... im me (zspturbo) and Ill straighten things out, cause it seems you dont understand me.

hey ZSP (this is James)- sorry man- I kept that tool set on Ebay and the auction is over. I'm a little surprised you had to ask your dad permission and $80 for it. Are you sure you're going to get a 240/RB?

With a great driver, it is a 13.2 to 12.9 car at best, we have not discussed track temp, tires, suspention , drivetrain mounts or otherwise.

If I can beat the hell out of a 96 vette with a N/A SOHC KA24E..time and time again..I would look at the hundreds of variables myself.

Et al..this was from light to light, not a 1/4

He must be talking 1/8 mile in the 7,8,9

Bill, I am not doubting or undermining your character, but based on personal experience, I dont think a little sohc s13 can whip on a vette.

Two houses down from me, this punk vato drives his little 01 vette (I know, different year) and one night we decided to have at it. My 95, even launching in second, was a couple of cars behind him from an access road on down about a mile of 410 Eastbound. Pure muscle, he has no mods, just stock vette. Keep in mind, the s14 is only a little heavier than the s13. Its not stock, and I am humble to that extent.

its all about driver !!!!!!!!!

i saw a 03 cobra in orlando run a 14 sec 1/4 mile. the cars stock are 12's. you can have a 10 sec car and run 16's if you cant drive.

the car is fast and greatly depends on the driver.
