dude, that diagram is fsckin crackin me up

anyways, i'm not sure whats wrong, but from the looks of it, that "i dont know what this is" thing might be the stock recirculating valve. Are you running a sidemount? That might be the cause of your problem.

sorry about the diagram but my setup is a greddy fmic and i have no recirculating valve hooked up just the bov the pipe on the fmic and the intake are caped off. and i have a blitz bov a new one. i know the diagram sucks but can u tell if anything is hooked up wrong.

Do you have the peice that fits over the bov..the "horn"?

By looking at the pic you can tell the piston extends past the housing causing one HUGE vacum leak.

How does the car run? well? or is it running super rich and really sluggish?

Edit: On a different note..run your wastgate line past the intercooler. The way you have it now your engine isn't seeing the boost the wastgate sees due to the pressure drop of your ic. If you plumb the wastegate line AFTER the intercooler you'll actually be producing what your boost controller is set to.

Edit edit: that stock wastegate control thing...take it off. It's useless. Doesn't do anything and won't let you boost past a certain amount...it's gay..get rid of it.

O and take all that carbon canister crap off. More vacum lines to deal with...unless you need to pass emissions.

car runs fine there is no leak coming out of the bov i've put my hand in front of it and felt no air and yes i have the "horn" i just took it off so i could show you guys how the bov looked. don't know if it is running rich but at idle my car sits at 750 to 800 rpms and i have -20 on the boost gauge and when i drive it it does a full boost at 7 psi.

ok..then it's gotta be hooked up to the wrong vacume line.

Do this..plumb the bov line to the same line that your wastgate is plumb to. This is a sure fire way to test whether you've got the bov hooked up right or not.

Looks good though! I like the manifold:D Clean swap! kudo's to the shop that did it for ya

where do i run the line to after the intercooler???

can someone post a pic or diagram of how the vaccum line on a s13 sr20det should be hooked up with a bov and a fmic.

From the throttle body:

1. cap off the bottom vacuum tube
2. run a line from the big tube on the top to the BOV nipple
3. T the small fitting and run one of them to the FPR and the other to a boost gauge

From the IC piping (hot side, preferably):

1. run a line to the wastegate nipple

Make sense?

that is how i have. so that means my bov is crap.

not necessarily. Do two things first:

1. Adjust the screw on the top of the BOV all the way out. Is it blowing off?

2. Replace the vacuum line from the TB to the BOV with a bigger one. At first, I was using a 5/32" line for mine, and it was too small to really suck the valve open. I changed it to a 7/32" line, and the BOV works fine now.

I'll have pics up later today of how to recirc a Blitz BOV. Super easy.

i have a 7/32 line on it still don't work. and no it is not blowning off what does that mean

I just meant that is it blowing off at all? Does it release pressure at all? Or does it just sit there closed the whole time.

Take the BOV off the flange...can you push the piston down by hand? It should move with fairly light pressure. If not, clean it out.

n it is not blown off at all and yes i can push on the bottom with ease. what does that bolt on the bottom do?

uiuc240

that "bolt" or "set screw" or whatever you want to call it, adjusts the preload or tension on the BOV piston. If you tighten it down, the BOV needs to see MORE vacuum before it will open. Mine is almost all the way loose right now (because I'm recirculating it). Loosen yours until you can *just* feel air at idle, then tighten it down 1/4 turn. Should be good to go.

no i'm talking about the bolt on the bottom where u told me too push on the piston.

????

I don't know. You have the newer Blitz BOV...I haven't seen the inside of that one. You're on your own here....

ok today i put my hand over the bov when my car was running and i took the front part of the bov off (the part that you can put the filter thing). and i felt a huge leak, it like glued my hand to it. how can that be fixed?

uiuc240

???

now I'm even MORE confused. Air should be coming OUT of the BOV. I don't know what's going on. Does anyone know anything about the Dual Drive BOV from Blitz?

i want it loud but do you guys know if any other bov will use the same flange as the blitz so i don't have to have my uncle weld it for me?
