i have a ka with rod knock with about 180000 miles... is it worth it to do a stock rebuild with boost or should i think of going a different route?

Well I never like the idea of a turned crank on these motors. If you crank is fine dont touch it, if your crank is scored up get one that isnt.

You dont have to do a whole lot to these motors to make them handle some power. Internally, go with some forged pistons. Stock rods are fine (unless your really making power), stock headgasket is fine just plain the head and get arp studs.

What I mentioned aside from 248/248 hot cames our shops s14 is making 418whp and 455lb ft wtq. (on race gas)

So there probably isnt any reason to do a huge elaborate internal build unless you have huge goals, but just throw you a set of pistons in there and get arp headstuds and get a rebuild kit and you should be good.

u can also get some coated stock pistons from ebay if you dont wanna pay money on forge and also get arp rod bolts if you gonna use stock rods
