We have made numerous custom high mount intercooler kits with short charge pipes just like team burst, parade and magician, famous triple class drifters in Japan.

...but now we are releasing the first drift specific bolt on high mount intercooler in kit form for the special introductary price of $380 with free shipping to 48 states!

Key features of our drift specific High Mount Intercooler Kit:
~Mounts in front of the radiator, under the core support. Inlet and outlet shoot past the sides of the radiator.
~2.5"inlet and 2.75"outlet maintain proper velocity (3" pipes are too big for stock turbos)
~3.25" thick, extra wide core gives proper volume to the short height design
~Specifically designed for the bottom mount t25&t28 nissan turbos
~Extra short pipes for best response
~No BOV flange (we dont run them on our cars...TIG your choice of flange is optional)
~Allows better water cooling because it blocks less air from the radiator
~Mounts as far as possible away from front crash zone...and thieves...and cops

-Reinforced silicone couplers are available in Orange or Black.

lol :ghey: were just drift feinds like you guys, just a little obsessed with making cool stuff we want for our cars
will the shorter piping clear stock battery set up? or would i have to either get a smaller battery or relocate it ?
I dont know, all of the cars we have done HMIC's for already had FMIC setups and some battery solution for that. You can picture the clearance to the battery side, there will be a 2.75"id coupler coming straight back right next to the radiator.
Is there possibly going to be a larger intercooler core?
only if we make another kit for larger top mount turbos, but its unlikely because people who go top mount probably have a fabricator

will do, no AC
Is it me, or do those intercooler look really short?!?
its a kick ass product no doubt. Something I've been contemplating with the new eng build.
it is, but then again all the usual intercoolers are too big for proper drift response
will there be a kit for RB25DET w/ Greddy Intake Manifold? on a S14 that be cool
Will we be able to arrange the pipes according to our setup?
I doubt we'll sell a kit for every combination out there, but we can custom fab anything in our shop as long as we have the car there
Right now we're looking to sell in kit form:
S13 & S14 KAT & SR with OEM turbo position

Will you offer black pipes to match the optional black intercooler core? That would be diabolical.

Also, will installing your kit require cutting the core support for the piping? The pictures shown look like it is necessary to cut...but it would be nice to keep it clean and untouched.

we'll paint this stuff if you want but I'd rather not because I know from the nature if the installation everyone would scratch the crap out of the parts so its probably better if you paint it yourself.

Is there a way to get this coupler 1x 2"-2.5" step 45* coupler with the s13 kit instead on the 90 degree
the short answer is yes we can

long answer is that those couplers have different lengths in addition to different angles so without having an s13 here yet we cant tell you if a coupler change only is good enough for S15 turbo on S13 motor

its not much of a problem to add 4 more rows for high HP application, but we did this compact design first because most ppl with 500+ hp have $ and access to fabrication and plenty of big fmic's whereas the average garage tuner trying to hide his IC from the cops, thieves, and the curb needs more help

Hp limit is plenty more than a t28 frame turbo can put out. however for a high output gt30-35 top mount pushing 500+hp you may want a bigger core.

The goal of this HMIC is to give the best power, cooling and response for OEM bottom mount turbo, disco potato etc.

Nope, thats why its still in the OP. Everyone has non stock stuff that contacted me. I want it to fit the OEM setup because it needs the most help and people who have upgrade turbos can just use the S14 hot side, or customize it for their fancy turbo, manifold etc.

sure if you really love your BOV, we will weld a flange for you but we recommend you dont run a BOV for drift because you dont need to release boost while modulating the throttle for counter steer during drifting, this HMIC concept is all about response and the BOV is not

its easier to do completely custom cores in bar plate

Hmmmm, because the stock S14 AC condenser core is slightly under 69.8 cm. If more sheet metal was cut, your core moved down and forward, a little bend to the passenger side AC hardline, and some creative upper AC condenser mounts then you might be able to retain AC.

hey show me the way to the AC brotha, but I need to take baby steps.
it was pretty hard to develop the worlds first HMIC kit without revamping the AC system and messing with the hood latch and left and right core support beams.
That makes it a lot harder to install, and people who love their AC more than the motor can buy some random front mount.
Part of the goal of this project was to get obstructions out of the way of the radiator because before when I'm drifting I have the heater on blast just to help the car stay on this side of extreme water temps in willow springs

I was just worried the TB would be in a different place than the sr one. I've ran an sr smic for two years and had to modify the coldpipe to get it to fit. I'd feel alot more comfortable seeing this on a ka first, before buying this, then having to modify it to fit right. I don't have any experience with the ebay sr13 sr20 fmic and fitmint of that setup. I'll prolly purchase this kit anyways if the deal is still on it a month or so, I need to rebuild the front end first...

You buy the pipes that go with the motor (and turbo), the intercooler is the same. HOWEVER the nylon spacer & top bolt length in the hardware pack is different so just tell me the car's configuration when ordering.

If your KA-T manifold places the turbo in the same spot as SR then there is no problem with compatibility, just like how KA-T guys can use SR elbows and downpipes.

Quote for HMIC kit for S14 with S14 SR to 27511 please.

so will u be able to make a bigger core? i think the demand is there.Yes we can make a bigger core, but I am not so sure that many of our customers run over 500HP.
The major point of this was that all of the FMIC cores are too big and come with pipes that are too big for the OEM position and smaller size turbos that drifters like to run for the response. And it paid off, the response is second to none, and the difference in water temp is amazing when you dont block off the entire radiator air flow. Those turbos dont put out drag racing HP anyhow.
If we did make a bigger core we really need to make a completely different kit that comes with piping for larger top mount turbos.
Downsides include:
1. Customers that have the resources for high HP engine building probably already have someone to fab the pipes they need for any core they choose.
2. There is a large variety of top mount manifold positions, and turbo configurations so whichever one we choose it wont work with others.

These are the same reasons we dont sell a complete downpipe for top mount turbos.

I would like the FMIC kit for an s14 with an s13SR20DET. I am curious if I may need a new intake pipe as well as I think mine may interfere with the hot pipe on your kit. Not too sure. Pm me with the info to 92336 return customer. =) I would actually just prefer a new intake pipe all together if possible as the one I am running has like 3 couplers on it (home made shit from previous owner.) and it's just a pain in the ass and useless weight.

It looks like the HMIC pipes would work with your inlet, we have a new inlet thats due to be released sometime in Dec-Jan.

Got mine in last night. Everything looked great, except one bent mounting tab (probably due to UPS dropping the package). No worries though, I fixed it without any issue. Hope to have this on the car within the next month!

Yeah, UPS bent both of my mounting tabs, but i got them straightened out, no biggie. Now that I have a dremel my next off day I will start the install. Already got brackets made for the lights. Just need to cut some metal out now.

So most people are not running BOVs with this kit?? cant seem to find them on the pics from pbm.

I guess I have to make some reinforcement in the box to protect that little tab from UPS throwing boxes.

We have not ran BOV's on our cars for years, you just dont need to bleed air off the pipes when modulating the throttle for drifting.

Got my kit mounted up tuesday. Please excuse the wiring in the front, have been chasing and fixing a few problems from the previous owner. Also the jager bottle is from the previous owner too. It will all be cleaned up and bumper put back on as soon as I can find one that isnt cut up for a fmic.

i got mine installed also.

PLease reinforce the box. 1 of my tabs were bent also. I got it pretty straight but i would recommend to reinforce the shipping box.

Other than that, its a very nice product. I just ordered the core b/c i'm not running a sr

Yes just buy the aluminum flange online and have it sent here.
other people will tell you not running a BOV will kill the turbo but I have never seen any evidence of this

if you have a KA-T you just run same hot pipe as s13SR and cold pipe for T25(s13sr) or T28(s14-15sr) whichever you have

Yes, please! Mine had the same issue (thought it was a redesign, lol).

Anyway, for guys thinking about running it on a ka-t setup.

The cold pipe fits fine for the most part. It's not 100% perfect angle & you will have to mode the radiator hose (add a 34mm adapter in between & reclock it) to make it all fit. A slight redesign in the angle/depth of the cold pipe & it would work perfect; however, you can run the sr pipe. Also, not sure what the sr pipe comes w/ originally, but you'll also want to ask for a 5/8" outer diameter bung for cold side like I did. Because of the angle, I also got a 5/8" plastic elbow from the local auto store (not pictured)

You can see what I'm talking about kind of here (don't mind the text, that's for a write-up I made):

http://bewbews.com/pictures/4/3576.jpg

For the cold side, since I'm still currently top-mount, I rigged up my own setup. I think the hot side should fit fine though since the ka-t bottom mount setup puts things relatively in the same position as the sr setup.

I also converted to running an odyssey battery since the optima red top no longer fit.

I can't give you a definitive response difference of just the HMIC install since I also changed over to an UR underdrive pulley, but with those 2 mods combined (stock pulley & s15 sidemount), the response is SUPER AWESOME!!!

I also can't give definitive performance pro's/con's in terms of engine coolant temp since I removed the a/c system & relocated the oil cooler slightly for more air. However, w/ my oil cooler relocated, no a/c, tranny cooler, hmic, and koyo radiator, I was seeing 85-87C after several back-to-back runs @ autox. It would cool down to 80-83C while idling. Same time last year, with a/c condenser, oil cooler mounted in a different spot (less air), koyo, and side mount, I was seeing around 88-90C after several autox runs & it wouldn't get below 85C without opening the hood.

I'm hoping to more thoroughly test this @ autox & hpde's over the next few months as the car continues to get some work done on it.

It's a little scary driving the car @ autox going down the straights and even out of the corners compared to the setup before. Didn't feel or see any noticeable pressure drop/lag going from the smaller sidemount to bigger hmic - definite plus.

Thanks for making great products.

sorry for the horrible picture, left my camera at home. You're probably wondering about my cut also, I previously had a precision intercooler so that's why so much metal is cut.

The 5/8 size is standard.
We sell rad hose adapters for $20
I dont think the pully is noticeable, its all intercooler!
My S15 motor runs hard in the 80's, cools down to the 70's with 60's temps on the street.
Dont forget to retune the ECU after you make changes!
