KA24DE Problem Maybe Misfire? Please Help

OK so im driving to school in my daily 40 with a KA24DE its running fine im cruising at like 50 next thing i here is like a "pffff" sound and then my car start running like shit. Now it sounds like a Go-Kart / Misfiring. Changed the Spark plugs wires seem to be good any other ideas?

Please any/all help would be great i need to get the car running to get to school thanks.

does it only do it while driving? or does it do it at idle too?

is the idle bouncing at all? your distributor could be bad, sounds like it running on 3 cylinders. If u changed the spark plugs and the wires seem to be good then most likely its the distributor.

If you did the spark plugs and wires you should also do the cap and rotor. Then if your still having issues, check injectors as well as distributor may be bad.

But do the cap and rotor since they are cheap at any parts store, just get the right kind, there are different variations that 240s came with based on years etc. So its best to take them off and go to the parts store to make sure you are getting the same ones.

Once you do that and still have issues reply to the thread. Hope you find the issue, good luck.

any solution found ? my g/f's car is having same issue. we changed the cap and rotor, check spark plugs , and wires . its running on 3 cylinders the cylinder not firing still has good compression
