Need opinions on these tire sizes

Got a set of rims that are 17x7 +35 all around, but now I'm stuck on what tire size to get.

I don't want low pros that make my look like its riding on just rims.....so....215/40/17 is not happening.

Here are the sizes I'm considering:
* 215/45/17
* 215/50/17
* 235/45/17

Any help or suggestions are welcome.

I would say 215/45/17 or 225/45/17.

Why not get 225/45/17 all around? Should look good, keeps about the stock rolling diameter of the tires and should fill up the wheels nicely.

You can get Falken Azenis in that size :)

thats all the reason I need. :)

I'm getting 205/50-15's b/c they don't have Azenis in 55 series sidewalls.. should help with acceleration, only bad thing is the speedo will be about 2mph off at 60.. woopty doo.


If you don't like Azenis though.. I agree with James.. search to see what you have available selection wise. I've found the perfect tire size for me, generally isn't made, or is only made by a couple companys in compounds I would never use. :(

where can I find really slim lug nuts?

Because of how my rims are designed. They have a deep, recessed seat.

I can not use my current lug nuts because they are short and fat. I found that out the hard way when I had to use an air tool to take out a stuck lug nut.....also scratching up my rim and causing me to replace a stud. :(

My friend has some really good ones that come off with a special hex wrench (key), but he got it for free and doesn't know where I can find some.

I think Kyokugen (spelling?) lug nuts are slim and are supposed to be light weight (however that I find kind of funny, I mean how much crazy weight savings do you have to be doing to really be able to notice that your lug nuts are making a difference in the weight of your car?).

Try looking for them. I have links buried somewhere in my archives, but it would require about a half hour (at least) to really go through all my stuff to see who sells them. Sorry man, if I come across it I will try and post it up.

Or you could possibly try your local tire store or speed shop (car shop).

buy "tuner lugs" from quality tire in woodbridge. you know where that is right? its behind the new ikea next to patomac mills mall. pretty simple. you need 1.50tp lugs.. make sure you check each lug for the thread pitch of 1.50 - 2 times so far have i bought a set of lugs from them and one lug was 1.25tp (gay hondas..)
