i need other ways of taking out the pilot bearing out..i dont want to use a dremel to take it out because im afraid of scratching or damage the walls.

so my question is.. Is there other ways of taking out the pilot bearing?

A pipe wrench, it takes 2 minutes.

there a tool you can rent at your local auto parts store

On the show "Trucks!" on Spike they filled the pilot bushing hole with grease and used a bolt with the same diameter as the hole and a hammer to remove it hydraulically.

But the tool rental is a good option too.
