Me and the team of friends are packing it up and going to Atlanta. This time were shooting for a podium finish.

That' s how you can help. Racing ant cheep, nether is the gas to get to Atlanta.

Our friends at www.Everythingdrift.com (http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vd3d3LkV2ZXJ5dGhpbmdkcmlmdC5jb20=) have put up a link for donations. Our estimated cost for gas is around 1,200 bucks towing the rig. As for food the 99cent deal will be are friend.

Also K&N filters is going to supply one lucky donater with a $100 dollar gift certificate.

Thanks Everythingdrift.com (http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vRXZlcnl0aGluZ2RyaWZ0LmNvbQ==) and K&N Filters

5 bucks go's along way if every one helps.

Thanks for all the support.

Asking for hand-outs for yourself is pretty lame. Especially for something as trivial as drifting. If you can't afford it, find a new hobby. Everybody is hurting with the current economy. Why shouldn't you have to make sacrifices too?

Moved to Motorsports, because this definitely doesn't belong in chat.

What name and how big? I'm down.
Cooper can give me tires for that race but no money.
K&N cant give me money ether but they will give a gift certificate worth 100 bucks to give out to one lucky person.

You have to pay to play in any racing events.
Been there done that.
I race everything for fun. Nobody gets full sponsorship without paying!
Either you own a shop or products or have lots of money.
If i had parts id give you. Let me know. Far as funds good luck.
People keep asking me when my car will be done to come out for the sponsors!!?
I could care less about sponsors. I care about having fun!

WOW!!

I am surprised you guys are being such chumps about this. Jeff is great guy. He is also a huge supporter of many of the associations that run drift events on this forum.

Anyway, you should be supporting the guy. If you cant do it financially then at least say good luck.

If you loved drift the way you claim to you, you wouldnt be acting like asshats..

Jeff, good luck bro. I hope you make it. If I didnt need a new turbo and Dyno time i would give to you. In fact, fuck it. Maybe i will anyway!!!

Rock it for the Socal guys!!

#1. I'm not being an "asshat". I'm being honest.

#2. I could care less if Drifting dropped off the face of the Earth. In fact, I'd prefer it.

#3. I state again, if you can't afford your hobby, then you need a new hobby, or you need to learn to make sacrifices. Whether that be selling parts to raise money, or "OH MY GOD, SAY IT ISN'T SO", miss an event.

You are definitely being "That guy"

You honestly just sound like a dick.

Asking for help isnt lame. Your lame if you cant ask for help.

I didn't say asking for help was lame. I stated asking for handouts is lame. Which it is.

So, I'm lame, I'm "that guy" (actually, I'm ThatGuy), I sound like a dick, I suck, and my mom is my only fan.

Got it. Do you children have anything else to add?

Dont try and spin it.
He is asking for help. If you consider a hand out help than thats fine. Its still helping him get to where he wants to be.

You are that guy. However you would like it spelled. You added you .02, and you sounded like a dick.

Its pretty simple.

As for calling us children, thats also very mature. The little children called you names.

So what's next?

Make a donation so I can get more tires!

Hey, make a "donation" to me so I can get a new turbo!

Donations here so I can get a new bumper after I put mine into a haybale!

Help me buy a new chassis, since I off tracked and rolled my old one!

Where does it stop?

It's all about responsibilities. If you can't afford to get yourself to an event, then YOU DON'T GO. It's really not a tough concept.

Jeff deserves to go to Atlanta. He is an awesome driver and a much better person than you'll probably ever be.

I think we should all stop tainting his thread though =).

SUPPORT JEFF JONES!! w000!

Yes, I'm a terrible person. :duh:

Jeff, good luck. I never wished you ill will.

I merely stated that your methods were, and still are, lame. You need to fix your priorities, and don't try to depend on hand-outs.

Once again, if you can't afford something, don't do it. ...broken record ...broken record

Its to go to a pro event.

Not some shitneck high schooler just being a asshole.

I am sorry I argued and i am sorry I clutterd the thread.

I apologize everyone..

:nono:

I already forbade a previous 'handout/donation' thread, so I'm certainly not going to let this stand.
