For those running a 2JZ without air, what size belt did you use? I'm working on a GS300 this week with a locked up compressor, she can't afford to fix it yet so I'm just planning on bypassing it so the belt won't burn up, but would like to know ahead of time the belt size. Stock size is 76", I figure depending on the loop a 66-68" may work. But I'll gladly take suggestions to keep from measuring it myself.

Here's the NAPA belt part # for 2JZ without A/C

NBH25060747

I use it and it's perfect size.

I was there. I actually put it on. Are the turbo engines different? That belt above was maybe an inch shorter than the stock belt, it really needs to be about eight inches shorter.

I'm using an Aristo 2JZ-GTE

If you have the 6-speed damper on the tensionner, it maybe don't work.

My info are from Supraforums.com (http://www.supraforums.com)

Here's another parts # I found but it end with same #

Gates K060747

Also, you gotta route it a different way, if I remember right. It were one of the first thing I did when I swapped my 2JZ, been a long time ago.

EDIT: I found in my swap pictures how I routed it

As said above, the car is a GS300. I don't know where you live, but I've never seen a 6speed manual GS. The pic above is identical to the OE layout, just without the A/C. And the Gates belt number matches the NAPA one, which is too long.

I thought the GS300 had TT swap.

Anyway, if the 2JZ-GE use the same layout for the serpentine belt, the parts # I gave you should work.

Apparently it does not. As stated, the belt above doesn't work. Way too damn long.

I read that. Hence me replying above about it. And then replying about how it's not correct. That doesn't work on an NA motor apparently, they must not use the same belt or share the same accessory layout. But thanks for pointing out what was already discussed and dismissed.

More research - The 2JZ-GE and GTE share the same belt, as does the 1JZ engines as well. I found another source that lists a 740K6 belt to fit correctly without A/C, that's still only two inches shorter. I'm guessing the belt routing diagram above is wrong because routed that way there's a good four inches of deflection.

I didn't know the 2JZ-GE and GTE doesn't share the same serpentine belt, sorry !

It's good to know now hahaha

We figured it out by ourself.

unsure if this can help?

The 1988+ Isuzu Trooper 4 cylinder 2.6 liter engine (4ZEL) uses the same belt as the Toyota 1JZ engine. So instead of getting a belt from Japan (~$100) you can pick up an Isuzu Trooper belt locally at an auto parts store for about $30 US. Make Sure You Get The 4 Cylinder 2.6 Litre Engine Belt!

I don't think they need a timing belt.

If you have a 2JZ-GTE USDM/JDM

The parts # NBH25060747 is correct.

Otherwise, projectrdm will have to answer you.

Ya its for a GE in a GS300. I think I might have an answer to my own question soon, I am just measuring it and going to the parts store and see what they have for the length I need. Ill post a part number when I get it.

Ended up using a 73" belt if anybody cares.

Thanks
Josh
