I get about the same NismoS14. &nbsp;I do a fair share of city driving though. &nbsp;If you do mostly highway driving, then something might be wrong.

Here's a math problem for you. &nbsp;I get 400km to 55L of fuel (94 octane). &nbsp;

What is this in miles and gallons?

I get 250 miles on 12 gallons of 94.

335 from fill up to E. i guess i could go longer if i went below E. that's with aggressive driving/racing...

I get around 260 for 11 gallons of octane 91.

i get hella shitty milage..... on a full tank of gas...91 octane... i get usually 250 miles. &nbsp;It about even city and highway driving. And i do drive softly. &nbsp;When i run my car a lot... i can see the gas needle (literaly) going down. &nbsp;Its so wierd. &nbsp;Plus my gas prices here does not help. &nbsp;I pay about 1.69 a gallon (premium)

I'm curious: Why do some of you guys run higher octane gas? My 240 seems to run fine on regular. Granted, I've only had it for 2 days, but still...

How do you people get such good gas milage I go from full to completely empty and go 160-180 tops.

everyday, i have like an hours worth of highway driving. n i end up w/ like 300 miles before i refill. i think it all depends on how hard u push ur car n if ur just cruising or not. what is the difference is gas though? i always use 87. oh yeah! i saw gas prices at $99.9 or $1 the other day in some town, that's the lowest i've ever seen it.

The most I've ever gotten out of one tank in my '96 was just a little over 400 miles. &nbsp;Take into consideration that all of it was highway miles though. &nbsp;The needle was just above the E when I got to that. &nbsp;For around town and highway driving I usually average about 270ish...just depends.

Here's a question for you Americans (like all of you). &nbsp;What gas options to you have in the way of octane? &nbsp;I personally have not seen higher then 91 at the regular pumps. &nbsp;Here some places have 87, 89, 92, 94. &nbsp;Do you guys have this option???

11-08-2001, 02:05 PM
Here at where I live, and I think also the rest of CA, we have 87, 89, and 91. I've never seen anything higher here.

in boston i we have 87,89,91,93,94
depends on which station u go to

the reason i run 93 is because i did a comparison wiht lower octane, and i seem to get less milage with lower octane
remember this is not scientific, and could be bais do to the fact i like running higher octane

ok what r the differences if i were to use 87, 89, or 91, cuz that's what we got here n i've always used 87 for all my cars.

I have to agree with lance. &nbsp;Haven't you ever seen the little sticker inside your gas cap cover? &nbsp;It says right there clear as day, USE HIGH OCTANE FUEL. &nbsp;Try some good gas out, you might just see what the difference is. &nbsp;I am talking about that 91 stuff. &nbsp;

that's cool, i'll fill up w/ some 91 next time, good thing i haven't had my 240 that long i guess. but some cars actually say use unleaded fuel only, so i just got so used to using 87.

&quot;unleaded fuel only&quot; means to use unleaded fuel. Has nothing to do with the octane rating.

Well blank,

I once decided to save some $ and fill with 89, and I hated the way my throttle reacted, very jumpy. &nbsp;I think you will notice a difference.

Here in Tulsa we have 87, 89, 91, 93. &nbsp;I actually got worse gas mileage when I was using 91 or 93. &nbsp;I dunno why, though. &nbsp;I drive almost all in town and I got 350miles on my last tank and only had to put in 12.5 gallons. &nbsp;I was pretty impressed. &nbsp;I used to be able to go almost 2.5 weeks w/o putting gas in my car (until this next week when I have to start working 15 miles from home <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>).
