ok well i went to connect my battery and didnt know that the key was in the ignition in the koeo position. so now my turn signals, dont work brake lights, tailights, dash and headlight motors. headlights turn on but dont come up. dash lights up but doesnt show time, rpm speed, etc. so wtf shorted out?

I think it's something like missionary.

Check your fuses and relays. Seriously, that's the first thing you do when something electrical doesn't work.

did you check your fuses?

Key On Engine Off.

only fuse thats blown i found was the 75A fusible link for the alt.

did u check the fuses in the drivers side kick panel?

the fuse you blew is what would make all that happen...you have to get it from a dealership

That fuse doesnt usually just blow from hooking up the battery. I have seen them blow from hooking up the battery BACKWARDS.

well i found out the alternator doesnt have that plastic piece on the base of the positive terminal so im assuming the positive is grounding off the case since that plastic piece is gone possibly causing a short.

Possibly? Try definitely. Replace that and the 75A fusible link, you'll be fine from there.

hah i never really payed for any thing at the junk yard
sensors, fuses, doors fenders
