Rb26 or sr20

alright guys i have an s14 shell that i want to turn into a track car i need some input i was planning on doing an rb but then evryone says go sr i want to know the pros and cons and youre personal openion of wich choice i should go with thanx

my budget is 11,500
and im looking to put out in the 600s
the shell is clean and dosn't need any body work so it leavs more money to go torward parts

so please help if you have any rude comments please keep theme 2 youre self

RB less generic and way more power but on the contrary much harder to swap in maintain and tune

Parts availability was a problem for a few years, but now, the RB has a good parts market on the USDM. i suppose it comes down to what your peak power output is/would like to be. If your looking to save a buck and still make over 300 reliable ponies to the wheels, i'd stick with the SR... But if you want a 800hp monster, i'd say the RB. The COOL factor is with the RB series motors now too, since the SR became so accessible.

guys you failed to realize he is 16 and most likley HAS NO MONEY to buy a freaking rb26 unless mommy and daddy really hook it up so most likley he will have a ka untill he is almost 18 then will ether A buy a SR or B go KA-T I am 17 and boy I know how it is
