I'm just wondering when everyone's first event is. NASA, SCCA, HPDE, etc. when do you guys first go out? My first autox is coming up on the 23rd and I'm pretty hyped. I got my tires and helmet and I'm ready to go.

I'm so frustrated. Our NE OK SCCA hasn't announced the 2003 schedule yet. Our former head coordinator has resigned and they haven't even announced who the new one is. This sucks!!!!

I expect to see them in karts as soon as they are old enough :)

And mike, are you racing or instructing?
Any way I could get a ride along?

You all suck. I don't know when my first event will be. I can't go in late feb b/c I won't really have a car and I'm taking the next week off and I have a feeling I won't be able to make april b/c of work and time off.

The first FATT at Summit is 3/7/03 (I think I'll still be hung over from New Orleans).

This thread has really brought me down. Maybe I could go "canyon carving" or find some Civics to "rev on." =sigh=

Dont know when I will be able to hit the track. Going over my checking acount ($3.47) and the contents of my wallet (used condom wrapper and $) I dont think I can afford it for quite some time...

First event of the season for me? Last Saturday, local autocross with the Clemson Sports Car Club. First time racing since installing the AGX/ProKit combo and Whiteline T/C rod bushings, and first time on better tires than I run on the street (Falken Azenis 205/50/15). I was several seconds off FTD, which was set by a supercharged 911 Carrera 4, but the car felt so much better than it had before. The only time I understeered was when I left the braking too late before a 135-degree turn, I was able to get some nice lift-throttle oversteer in a few spots, and wheelspin out of slow turns (no LSD, yet) was much less of a worry. Second race is this coming Saturday; I haven't looked forward to an autocross this much in a long time...
