where can I get the thigns to do it? I mean would I have to take it to a body shop to get it done? my father and I are great mechanics and may be able to do it ourselves if possible...where can I find the headlight conversion for a 91 SE? I changed my mind to a 91 instead of 95 now, first of all, too rare to find for cheap or good price, and since I found out I could do the headlight conversion (if so) then I'd like the 91 a lot better! well ANY help would be greatly appreciated! thanks guys bye

dude, i wish i could remember where i saw it at... i know i have seen it on the net. I would check with people at 240sx.org and nismo someone will know at one of those places... but other than that try importfan.com, try search engines by typing 300zx conversion because i think thats what they call it. i know its not much help but maybe it will get you somewhere if I can remember where i saw it at ill be sure to let you know!

i dunno, i personally like the flip lights... i'm a fan of old school cars like the FC, FD, and AE86 which all carry the flip lights....

but if you want the fixed lights, why don't u go with the Sil-Eighty conversion instead? of course, it's more expensive.... but it's more aesthetic (in my opinion) to the fixed lights just in the place of the flip lights.

I think Ab-flug do the conversion. Check with them.

If you go to the veilside website and look at the c lll body kit for the 91-94 240sx (that champaigne colored one), it shows an alternative to the pop-up lights. It makes the car look like it has normal plastic type lights instead of pop-ups. They are similar kits to the ones that they put on the rx-7 if that helps any. The kit goes for about $600 which is pretty steep, but not so bad when you compare it tp the $2500 that it would cost for a silvia front end conversion.

says on the veilside site that the headlight conversion isn't available anymore... bummer

I think it would cost and arm and a leg, but this is the nicest headlight conversion I have seen for an S13. Found by lance, posted in looky looky (chat).

They're 59,000 Japanese Yens or 480USD. That's not that bad. Now, does anyone have a contact in Japan?

yeah, i know what u mean.. flip up lights make your car look like a frog, especially if your car is green. My friend's Miata is the butt of all gay/frog jokes because of the way a '91 Miata looks.

if you just want S13 headlights which are fixed headlights. not pop up like the 180SX.. you just need to buy the hood fenders bumper and lights.. i think they go for around $1000 - $1500.. its a strictly bolt on type of thing.. no mechanical work. so you should be able to do it yourself..

S13Grl, a trip to Home Depot, to get some plexi glass wouldn't be to far a drive for you would it?...
it wouldnt be hard to make clear covers for those lights in the pic, about 10$ worth of plexi, a good carpet-knife
and some epoxy, make it look nice as ####, come to think of it... im gonna do that, ohh well just a suggestion for you.

you can buy the east bear headlight conversions from unstable-hybrids. i think heavy throttle also has them, if that helps.

you could also get a lazy-eye box, which looks very very cool!

Talk to Mike at Clearcorners.com

He makes tons of stuff for the 240SX.

And now he is done making his headlights.
