well, i'm at work right now and the video card on this pc is terrible.  so much for gov't computers. from what i can tell is that it is a dark forest green color.  if so, yes it's stock.

to check if its the original color, either go into the engine bay or take off the center console.  check the paint in those 2 spots.  even the most anal-retentive painter wont paint everything.

Wow, outside of the large white pinstriping, that is a beautiful car!

i still say no with that much body work on the car (all the ground efects are blended into the body) he must of change the color but stayed with the idea of keeping it kinda the stock color

why would it be bad if it's a paint job?

Arcane

now that i got a better look at it...i'd still say it's stock...i've seen some 240's in that color...but not with the striping

yeah, and who would paint their car and add pinstripe? I say it's stock, it looks metallic cause the sun is shining directly on it, I agree with Cobalt Green Pearl. The sun brings out the pearl.

I agree with Cobalt Green Pearl, too.  97 & 98 are were the only years that color was produced, that's why many of us haven't seen it--only approx 6000 97-98 240SX's were sold in the US, so it is very, very rare.  As somebody meantioned in a post a while ago, some dealers would add the pinstriping before placing it on the lot.  So I am very, very sure that the color of this car is stock.

It IS metallic... just more smaller flakes to kind of give it a glow... I like my color choice. . hehe but with my tan leather seats, makes my car look like a rolling star bucks haha

anyway. . I like it. . I have no idea how to post pics of my car cause I have no webspace right now, but u can see some poor quality pics by clicking HERE (http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=473750&uid=426888).

If you want some brand new ones, lemme know and I'll go take a pic of my filthy car for ya =)

Oh yeah.. and my car had the same pinstriping when I bought it. . haha gawd it sucked.. but it peeled off, I bought it Nov. 20 (one year ago) and used a hairdrier to remove that shit.. didn't wanna wait till it was warm out.

BlankFlip: It would be bad if it was a paint job for 2 reasons. 1: if i bought the car i would look into getting the stock front bumber because i dont like the one that is on it right now and 2: if it gets in an accident it is harder to repaint custom colors

Looks like a factory color to me - and looks like the pinstripes that I still have on parts of my car (one day I'll get to that other side!!).  If you still aren't sure, do a search - I think last week, someone posted the 240 color chart and how you can find this looking at the VIN No. (I think it was from unstable hybrids?).

As for the body kit - am I missing something?  Those look like factory skirts and a spoiler?

the front bumper, skirts and rear skirts aren't stock. I'm too sure about the front bumper, but the skirts are definitely not stock.

The body kit is not stock but the color is. &nbsp; Those of us with the blue/green color on the S14's can verify that even some of the stock colors have a metallic finish. &nbsp; My STOCK color looks purple some times and blue others. &nbsp; My mom asked me if I repainted my car last time I came home.(not that my mom pays that much attention anyway) &nbsp; If you buy that car and want to sell the front bumper let me know hehe <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Burgy240: If i buy the car and i can find a stock from bumper i will sell you it. Would you be interested in the whole kit if i bought the car?
