Does anyone know what temperature regular, non-high temp spraypaint will hold up to, Duplicolor Acrylic Enamel in particular? I've been looking all over and can't find an answer.

I painted my bike I recently got with it and didn't think much about how the swingarm holds the oil until later (it's a Buell) and that it might melt or bubble the paint. The oil is supposed to run between 180 and 210F.

have u tried looking at the msd's on their site? I think it will hold up well. Worst thing that can happen is itll just get brittle and come off or lift from the surface.

Well I looked through some of those and found the boiling point is 222-395F and melting point is not available ( I would assume it's a lot lower). I dunno I need to thrash on it and see what happens. The thing is the frame and swingarm are "impregnated" with the original paint, so I don't know if sanding off the new paint to redo it might be a good idea.
