Fuck! One of the biggest things I miss in Cali. Went every year while I lived there. Sonicboom pic ftw! Always wondered if you could see that. ++

Yeah, in that pic the F-18E Super Hornet is pretty much in front of us breaking the sound barrier! The thing i love most is this plane is flying about 750mph a little over mach1 and it will pass us up about 500ft and then all of a sudden you hear the noise from the plane as its already gone lol! LOUD!! Then you hear BOOOOM! And the ground shakes :D

I'm not too sure what lens he used on his Canon40D. It's a pretty nice one tho, as you can tell from the pictures. I snapped a couple shots myself! :keke:

I am really surprised they allowed them to bump that jet like that. Usually there are restrictions to them doing it. Great pics! Havent been to the Miramar Air Show in years!

The show was awesome! I went there on sunday.

^They said they are not allowed to break the sound barrier. But they come pretty close to hitting the sonic boom. Hence you can see hte circle forming the jet.

It was amazing. first time for me. Love the 7G turns they were making on those things. FRikkin amazing

I know, I was in the Navy. Thats what I meant by bumping the jet. Usually they aren't even allowed to doing that. In P-cola there was one that did it 2 miles off shore instead of the 5 miles authorized, and broke a bunch of ppls windows.

But all I have to say, is I am sooo glad I don't have to do FOD walkdowns after an airshow! :D

Yep. We wouldnt want a bunch of peoples ears and sunglasses splattering all over the place. Although it would make a good movie scene. For a cheap horror movie. Where Jets are evil. And sonic booms come by the qtrs. OK im done. (too much coffee this morning)
