rfactor
really awesome physics if you got a steering wheel with your pc..
drifting not so much since the original game developers didnt design the game with that in mind... but open wheel mods and gt cars are awesome

how would this game compare to live for speed? the physics on that game are amazing its just that they have generic cars

HyperTek

i only played the lfs demo,... lfs so far is probably the best game for drift and does have good physics.... rfactor is more "the standard" of race sims , it also has fictional cars when you buy it.. but it has a big mod community of regular people with 3d skills making mods and tracks for it.

One known issues of rfactor is the forcefeedback isnt perfect, but it works. rfactor 2 is supposibly in development. but this has been out since 05.

Could stuff, love rfactor. Haven't played in a long, long time. Going to have to bust out the old Driving Force GT wheel.

Hey you guys don't probably know me, look for my name down the bottom when loading irwindale for rfactor :P

guys feel welcome to come join www.oversteer.com.au/oversteer/forum (http://www.oversteer.com.au/oversteer/forum), we have daily on-going drifting in rfactor with weekly competitons and tandem events. If your a newbie to rfactor drifting scene, me and another Oversteer member host a fortnightly drift school where you can come an learn to drift in rfactor (we also help you set up your wheels and FFB settings). my name in rfactor = Japspeed-ADUBZ, look for me in the OBS 2.2 Drift servers

I am also developing a couple of other tracks for rfactor which include Ebisu south, ebisu hills (touge), a couple of other tracks ssshhhh :P.

Quick intro about me - Male, Lives in Queensland Australia, Drives Nissan 180SX strawbeery face Non-turbo (gay australian laws), is a piston head and loves drifting.

If you guys have any question don't hesitate to contact me via email and i will help you out.

Thanks guys,

i gave up on drifting in rfactor .. its not really intended for drift, the tire models arent up to it., drifting offline is borring, and theres hardly anyone online to do it with .. i usually stick to f1 racing.

Hypertek - once you get your wheel setup and FFB setup then your pretty much set smooth sailing from there, drifting is pretty much as close to r/l as you can get. If you did a server search right now i'd bet u find at least 3 drift servers with people in them.

i think it beats live for speed in my opinion.. i dont own lfs, it just doesnt appeal to me. i played lfs and the overal experience, the lack of installation, interface etc.

well, irwindale was done by myself and a couple of other people (originally for NR2003), im in the works of producing ebisu south and ebisu hills (touge). One of my friends who helped me with irwindale is finishing off Nikko (its in beta stages not released yet) but it should be released on rFC soon. HyperTec ill pm you and send you some pics
