okay well recently my car started bogging RANDOMLY, i don't know if bogging is the right word to use for it, but i'll explain it, say i'm in 5th gear cruising at like 65, and out of no where while my foot on the gas hasn't moved yet, it would see as if the engine wants to turn off and i have no power going to the throttle, anyone know any solutions? stock ka24de.

same thing happens to my friends ka-t.

i thought it was my nasty fuel filter so i replaced that, and i thought it was vacc leaks so i pluged up all my vac lines but the same problem occured, any help would be appreciate. thanks (:

Your going to spend alot of time diagnosing this. Its best if you grab a manual, and pull the codes. Go from there.

Could be the timing getting pulled from either the KS, Invalid readings from the IAT could also mean your CTS is going. You could get a code for the intake air temp, but really could mean your CTS is going. Could be the coolant is boiling, or you have air bubbles. Could be the EGR.

Same problem with mine and it turned out to be the fuel pump shorted out. Simple solution was pulling the engine and getting it ready for the swap.
