I have a problem with my 1990 240sx w/ ka24E.

-new spark plugs, wires, dist cap & rotor, z32 ff, cleaned MAF 3k miles ago, new air filter (cheapy), fresh oil 500 miles ago.

Has been doing it for a while though

It runs good sometimes. Then it'll run like i'm driving a go cart. Terrible throttle response, putt putt noises. Tapping etc. Also when driving in that condition sometimes it'll fix itself. Then I stop or slow and it does it again.

Was told it could be a misfire, egr, injector harnesses, fuel pump, timing, clogged anything. etc.

We pushed on fuel injector clippy pieces and on the 3rd one in toward the firewall if you push on it the car will want to die. It doesnt do that with the other injector plugs.

How can I fix this problem?
Heres a video of how it runs when it's being crappy:

Bought new injector o-rings so far (didn't install yet), also bought seafoam which wasnt run yet.

What should I buy to guarantee to stop this problem, and where?

thanks

Check timing.

sounds like one of your injectors took a dump
or just check the connector for corrosion
either way i bet you injector o-rings are
due for a replacement
you can all ways feed it some seafoam
via the gas tank
anywho good luck

test your injectors. I doubt its the o ring leaking or you would see/smell gas.

Check for worn fuel injector connector. If you touch it and the idle quality goes down, you need to replace the harness.

thanks for the replies. where can I get the harness? Also can't I just buy 4 new clippy's and rewire them into the harness w/ fresh wires?

I guess they could be either corroded or clogged up. Either way i'm thinking they should just be replaced anyway.

Maybe fuel dampener, and fuel regulator also?

Anyone know where I can get good deals?

thanks

i dont think anyone said anything about cleaning your iacv..

my car was like that for a while and i sprayed it into my intake. and now my car runs great.

i sprayed throttle body cleaner in i believe into the bigger hose on your stock intake.(it goes to your iacv.) take off the bigger hose off the intake, keep on the throttle. and then spray the throttle body cleaner in for about 10 seconds. and connect the hose back to the intake..and see how that works..but i could be completly wrong.

Is there a spring / plastic piece that goes into the aac solenoid? i think it fell out when i unscrewed the solenoid.

It looks like it's torn up on the bottom.. do i need it?? how does it fit in?

Heres a picture is this the right thing???
