hey guys I searched there is no real threads on what people like to bring to their track days. I have an s13 coupe, not bringing any passengers so I have the entire car to load up. so far ideas that come to mind are:

1. extra wheels/tires
2. air pump
3.torque wrench
4. tool box full of whatever tools I can fit.
5. cordless l.e.d light
6. various fluids, basically whatever I got
7. jumper cables
8. umbrella
9. jack/stands
10. wood ramps

so what do you bring to your track days?

Here's my list, been doing this for 5+ years though, so probably a little more extensive than the guy going out for his first time...

In trunk: (yes it all fits in the S13 coupe)
HF aluminum jack in it's box
jack stands
Dewalt 18V impact
gallon distilled water
5qt jug of Mobil1
ext brake fluid
old blanket
fold up chair
walmart air compressor
10x10 pop-up shade (if hot)

small tote with:
-small socket set
-full metric wrench set and crescent
-torque wrench
-breaker bar
-large tire pressure gauge
-tire pyrometer (longacre)
-IR pyrometer (for rotor temps)
-misc large impact sockets
-zip ties
-safety wire
-gloves (x2)
-pliers and locking pliers
-track pads
-spare old pad to push back pistons (pad changeout)
-valvestem tool (have had valve stem's loosen on me.
-to much other stuff to think of

I pack in a small duffle bag:
-food
-sunscreen
-hat
-driving gloves (needed at some tracks events)
-extra shirt
-small notebook and pen (taking notes)

HF trailer:
-tires of course.

Bring plenty of water and other drinks if your trying to save money and snacks.

Also carry a AAA+ card if you drive your car to the track and have that warm/fuzzy feeling that you might break the car. I do and I get one free 100mile tow to any location per year.

Just used mine this last friday :)

The most important thing to bring to a track is a good attitude and respect for you fellow drivers. :hide:

I would upgrade to the AAA plus membership... its only 30 bucks more a year and WILL save you one day. 100 mile towing ftw

yup yup... AAA ftw +1

all i take is

-torque wrench
-lug nut key/extension (which is already in my car everyday)
-helmet
-extra wheels (4) stuffed into my trunk and backseat
-jack
-zipties
-water
-money for entrance fee and food and gas

that's about it...

i have almost never needed anything else... except when i crashed at horse thief... then everybody there was very helpful and lent me tools and stuff...

then used AAA to tow my car back home...

Condoms.

Hey you never know.

Dousan_PG

tool box
spark plugs
duct tape
zipties
oil (mission and engine)
extra engine parts (in case break IC)
and um...a bfh
jack
axles
ramps

no need for a lot extra imo.
if something breaks, that isnt those, its more serious then a simple pit change.

only thing id like to get more of to change JUST IN CASE is suspension arms.

what really helps is a chair and a big umbrella to block out the sun. Rest is very important. Lots of liquids too.

All the other car parts are handy but i find those 4 are the most important to get yourself ready for a track day.

if you trailer your car - a spare tire for the trailer

thats all.

same. trick is to make sure your cars is reliable before you go to track.

bringing tools to track is like saying my car is not reliable for tracking.

not really. you could still go to the track and snap a tie rod or something. shit happens.

i'd say it's more of being prepared for whatever.
