Pulled my ecu and checked codes today!
Codes were;
32 - EGR malfunction
34 - Detonation (knock) sensor
76 - Fuel Injection system

I manually pushed up on the bottom of the EGR and the engine tried to die
I applied vacum to the EGR and the engine tried to die
I'm assuming by these tests that my EGR valve is O.K. ?

Should there alwys be vacum present on the line to and from the EGRC-BPT valve?
(I have none)
I don't show a code 36 - EGRC-BPT valve or a code 105 - EGR and canister control valve (Solenoid)

any ideas on what could be wrong with the EGR system ?
Could the bad codes have been caused from the Seafoam?

I'm not concerned with the 34 or 76 codes as I dont believe they are causing my high nox and I just need it to pass smog!!

I manually cleared the codes at the ecu, how long would it take for the check engine light to come back on if there is still a problem ?

Thanks !!!!!!!!!!

There is a vacuum hose that goes from the bottom of the egr transducer (the flying saucer looking thing at the back of the mani) to a tube that goes to the egr. It is VERY common for those hoses to go bad from the heat. As for the other codes those are un-related to the egr code and I know of no quick fixes for those.

I replaced all the vacum hoses I could find near the EGR including the one you described !!!
