This should be simple for most of you here. I have a s14 manual without abs. I have successfually swap'd out 3 of the 4 rotors last night to brembo blanks, so they match with the metalic pads. However, one stubborn (driver rear) rotor wouldn't give in for all the efforts i had tried on it. For an full hour, my friend and I, both in beginer level, were struggling with it, ie, using a soft hammer, lubricates, etc. It just sat solid fix with the hub. Is there any recommented way that I can removal it rather than taking my car to a shop? Thanks.

ya.. you can use a impact hammer.. probably come of in like seconds.. or Use a "mini sledge" large head short handled hammer..

I cant remember if the oem rotors had those M8x1.25 screws that hold the rotor in place or not.. been years since i have upgraded.. If they do have little phillips screws you will have to pull them before it will come off. But i am like 98% sure you just need to bang it off.. Your car just probably likes it rough.. ;)

Use a screw on the rotor (not sure what size)...The screw pushes against the hub as you screw in the rotor seperates itself off the hub.

Hammer the shit out of the rotor on all sides of it.

meng all i can think of is hammer the shit out of it untill it breaks free.
maybe heat it up if the bolt thing fails?

pb blast the crap outta it then hammer some more front realie top bottom side to side.
try it with a hard hammer on the face. maybe it will vibe it out?

try spraying some pb blaster or mthrust where the hub sticks out. wait a bit, then hit the rotor with a larger hammer. it will come off. btw, a rubber hammer will not do the job.

do you have you e-brake down.

my bid is hit the rotor with a sledge hammer also...any time i have a rim or rotor that sticks...the sheer impact of a sledge hammer always breaks the shit loose.

do you have you e-brake down.

dude, if he's trying to take the rear rotor off i'm sure he already has the caliper off, thus the e-brake being up or down doesnt matter. just get a BFH (Big Fucking Hammer) and MAKE it come off. Dont be scared cuz you're a begginer, its made of metel so its not gonna hurt it and cars dont feel pain. Sometimes parts can be stubborn. Like some of the guys up there said use BP blaster let it soak in and try again. The lil bolt thing works well to if you have one that fits. GL

BFH, hit it hard right in between the lug studs all the way around.

If I can use that trick to free the rear rotors on a 99 F250 thats been sitting in New York for 18 months while the owner was in Iraq, then it'll work on a damn s14.

Yea i have had that prob, not with my 240 but with other nissans, BFH is the way to go.
