If work ever gets underway on another budget coupe, Nissan should seriously pursue Polish designer Iacoski and his interpretation of a 240Z/Fairlady revival. <br><br>Aft of the a-pillar, Iacoski's inspiration is clearly apparent, blending the old 240's slopping roofline and short rear overhangs with the muscular haunches and angled fender flares of the current 350Z. Up front, the Photoshop wizard retained the old Fairlady's elongated hood and power bulge, and matched them with a front air dam, bumper and headlamp arrangement influenced by the second GTR Proto concept.<br><br>We're totally smitten and think you'll be equally entertained when you check out the gallery of images below.<br><br><div><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/iacoski-datsun-240z-fairlady/">Iacoski Datsun 240Z/Fairlady</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/iacoski-datsun-240z-fairlady/989408/"><img src="http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/01_iacoski_design_fairlady_1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title=""></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/iacoski-datsun-240z-fairlady/989415/"><img src="http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/02_iacoski_design_fairlady_1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title=""></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/iacoski-datsun-240z-fairlady/989409/"><img src="http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/03_iacoski_design_fairlady_1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title=""></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/iacoski-datsun-240z-fairlady/989410/"><img src="http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/04_iacoski_design_fairlady_1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title=""></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/iacoski-datsun-240z-fairlady/989411/"><img src="http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/05_iacoski_design_fairlady_1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title=""></a></div><br>[Source: <a href="http://digimods.e-visionit.co.uk/showthread.php?t=51138">Digimods</a> via <a href="http://www.nihoncar.com/en/news_details.php?id=874">NihonCar</a>]<p style="clear:both;padding:8px 0 0 0;height:2px;font-size:1px;border:0;margin:0;padding:0">Â*</p><p><a href="http://digimods.e-visionit.co.uk/showthread.php?t=51138">Read</a>Â*|Â*<a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/20/design-study-nissan-240-fairlady-z-successor/" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent link to this entry">Permalink</a> | <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/forward/1289215/" title="Send this entry to a friend via email">Email this</a> | <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/20/design-study-nissan-240-fairlady-z-successor/#comments" title="View reader comments on this entry">Comments</a></p><hr>

That should be the new Silvia/240, by far the best looking design yet.

Yep thats what nissan needs, impotent rehashes of the past that look like they were designed in some interactive booth at a "Rod Show".

I guess if it's working for Chrysler it must be good.

I want to buy the car of tomorrow, not yesterday.

as opposed to your "Car of tomorrow" that looks like it was a copy/paste job in photoshop?

That looks freaking fantastic! Both of the designs actually do, but the one in the OP fits more with Nissan's current design themes.

Look at the current Z, and that is about as close to a classic Z design as your gonna get. Remember, Nissan has spent a shit load in R&D on the FM platform. Now that that has been said, I wish Nissan would build the car in the op, the orange one looks like a datsun confused with a jag xkr
