trans ball spring question ?

I woke in the middle of the night after installing my trans and remembered i never put back the spring and metal ball that is under the plate of the shifter. Where u mount the bm short shifters i searched but found nothing. My question is what the's that spring and ball do and do i need it ??????????

its not the shifter that is missing anything its the actual trans itself if u removed the six bolts where it holds the shifter plate u will see a little pocket where there is a spring and metal ball i forgot to put that back and i might have possibly lost it.

part #32844f and 32844g. bro, it looks like you need to take your shifter plate off and try installing it if you find it or order it from that link before you start driving. gL

went outside and found it lol

It goes under the shifter plate after u remove the 6 bolts u will see a hole u will drop the ball then the spring in it.

Yea I know where those go but other than that I have another set of spring a ball that I found on the ground while trying to paint my tranny

im not sure where any others went that i know of unless it was behind a sensor probably.

There is one for shifter centering. HKS use to sell a stiffer spring set to go in there for a "heavier" shifter. Should be a retain nut on the side of the trans at the rear under the shifter plate.
