View Full Version : SAFC, boost x rpm instead of throttle x rpm

i just thought of this.

when i boosted my FC i ran the safc's throttle wire to the boost sensor. the boost sensor was 0-5v and the safc could read that.

it worked awesome because i could monitor it and see what percentage on the safc matched up to what psi of boost i was making.

and i set the throttle changeover point at 0psi and could effectively tune for both vacuum and boost at any rpm rather then just throttle %. this made the car run much better overall, while cruising in vacuum or hammer down in boost.

im wondering what the voltage levels look like on an sr sensor, or if they even have one?

and has anyone ever tried wiring in a boost sensor to run to their safc?
FC turbo ones aren't too expensive and could probably be easily wired. probably just power ground and signal to the safc and a single vacuum line.

any thoughts?
