Would you install an NSport Turbo kit on a 140 000 miles s13 ka engine?

If so, would you change the injectors if you plan running 7 psi?

How would you prep the engine for a 7psi boost?

the stock injectors are only good up to 4psi of boost. the ka24e has a 260cc injectors. The ka24de has 270cc

So 370cc would be okay?

(I have a ka24de)

But the way, your 240sx is really wicked and it's nice to know that it's in our country.. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

I was looking through personal websites on 240sx.org and I ran into that car. It's got a 97-98 conversion, how much did that cost?

I forgot to actually answer the man's question. Here's your answer since I found it on the FAQs of the Nsport site.
---------------------------------------------
Q: I have x number of miles on my engine. Will it handle a turbo upgrade?

A: Ever hear the phrase “your mileage may vary”? These statements are made because the person or company saying it can’t possibly know how you treat your car. The same goes for a turbo upgrade.

What were the oil change intervals over the engine’s life span? Were recommended maintenance intervals followed? How was the car driven? Mostly stop and go? Mostly freeway? (in L.A., freeway could still mean stop and go). Not only do these variables exist in the owner, there are variables in the car itself straight from the factory.

Mass produced engines need to be made as quickly and inexpensively as possible. This is one of the factors that makes a car more affordable. While this is fine for a common grocery getter, the more a vehicle is pushed to it’s limits the tighter the tolerances need to be. Tolerances on a mass prouduced engine can vary wildly. Which means that the performance potential of two engines can vary just as much.

Here are a few things to assure to determine whether your engine is healthy enough for a turbo upgrade:

1) Have the engine tested for compression and leak-down
2) Make sure the engine isn’t burning or leaking oil
3) Make sure the car doesn’t overheat
4) Use your butt-ometer. Does the car feel strong? Or is it lacking in power?

Note that the above list isn’t a guarantee. They’re just indicators that help determine the general health of your car. To steal another phrase, “past performance does not guarantee future returns”.
---------------------------------------------

I hope this helps. About the injectors, if you want, go ahead and throw in a set of bigger injectors from RC Engineering or Blitz or whatever you can get for a decent price. In fact, that's part of the Stage II kit from NSport. They recommended 385cc injectors for that particular stage of performance along with a couple of electronics like an HKS EVC, Apex'i AVC-R, or some other boost controller and so forth.

I already read that. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

by the way, they say the stage one accepts 7psi but some say that the stock injectors won't take it. &nbsp;I don't plan going over 7 psi so 370-385cc would be okay with me. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Tell you the truth, no I would'nt turbo a motor with that many miles on it, with out rebuilding it with new, better internals. Might want to look into that or a swap.

i agree. that ka could of be the best ones w/ 140k, but it still has 140k on it n turboing it is only gonna put more wear on it. is it really worth it if ur engine goes cuz of the kit? then ur gonna have to get a new ka, swap that out, then put the turbo back on n find that u could've saved like $3,000 if u would've just went w/ the sr. would u get an sr swap for $4500 if it had 140k miles on it? just some things to think about.
