Door latch jammed!

My driver side door is jammed shut. I've removed the seat and the door panel to get access to the latch. I have tried every possible combination of rods on the latch to make it release, but no luck. The door lock latch will not stay unlocked it just pops back to the lock position. I've tried pulling both the door lock and the release rod but that doesn't work either. What are my next steps? This is on an S14.

same thing happened to me some idiot tried to steal my car but broke the latch and i tried everything hangers and all that but haad to go to the locksmith because i didnt want to do any more damage but good luck

Fixed. I just started taking a drill at the latch. Kept drill holes until it let loose and the door popped open.
