ok guys here is the deal, I have a 240sx with a sr20det redtop in it. Well the other day I took it out and drove it around for about 30min or so and then I see a 3rd gen supra so im like what the hell cant hurt and go to race it well I pull on him and then he turns. I then pull up to a stop light and all of the sudden my car starts to idle odd so I decide to take it home well I take off from the light just driving it easy and I get it up to about 2k rpm and it stops pulling so I give it a little more gas and nothing so when I got home I parked it and I wasnt sure if it was just acting up cuz the weather or what but I tried to drive it yesterday and every time I would try to shift the car would die and I still wouldnt get over 2k rpm with any go. Thanks for any help. I really want to get this thing up and running right asap.

I'd say check all your vac lines, IC couplings, etc... if it was running great before you raced it, and now its acting up, thats where i would start. Look for any loose wiring conections, like MAF plug and stuff like that.

+1 for the maf wire plug

my friends car was running fine one day and the next day ran like shit. kinda the same simptoms you discribe. all it was was a loose wire in the maf plug

If its a IC coupler most likely you'll be able to tell by the ridiculous amount of fuel coming out the exhaust.

I'm betting its a MAFS issue tho.
