this morning, i woke up and left to take my g/f to her car and the car acted very strange at 1st. normally, the car is hard to shift when its cold so it was normal at 1st, but then as it warmed up, it got worse! i could bearly get in gear. i suspected clutch hydraulics right away, but thats not the problem. i have full stroke. so i bled it to double check that, and its fine for sure. its acting similar to when i messed up the clutch the 1st time i got the car. it grinds when i try to put it in gear, and usually wont go in with out a blip of the throttle. my friend says pressure plate, sound about right? i just dont wanna tear this thing apart and realize thats not whats wrong... any ideas?

It could also be your throwout bearing or even your clutch adjustment.

Happened to me in July, and It didn't go out that gradually, I had broken 2 fingers on the pressure plate, giving me a reason to go ahead and upgrade the clutch.

Hey, I have a clutch problem too. When I take off from a stop and I'm at half clutch, the car shakes all of a sudden untill it is fully engaged. I had a problem just like Hurleyboy at first but that gradually went away.

well, the car still wont drive properly so im gonna throw her in the garage. the throw out bearing is a possibility. its always been noisy, i replaced it with a new unit when i replaced the clutch this summer though, so i never understood why it made noise. perhaps it didnt install it quite right and has broken. oh well, time to get to work...

That's what mine did at first, and then it went into the other problem, messed up engagement and finally to not going into gear... You guys are lucky, you got to have this problem over time, and mine went all out within 20 minutes of the start of the symptoms...

well, i pulled the clutch and found two of the springs on the disc broke. i dunno why this would stop it from working, but it sure sucks. oh well, ill just get a new clutch and get my money back for this one...
