i took my valve cover off to paint it and found out that 4 of the bolts are very old and brittle, 4 broke. the front middle one, 2 on the right side and one on the left. can i drive around with it like this, until i get new ones tomorrow? all 4 corner bolts are tight and the middle ones are tight.

heres my cover, makes my car look like a toy..

Does it leak? It probably will after you get some heat in the motor and differently shaped parts expand differently.

Just hitch a ride to work and wait until you've got it fixed, because cleaning up oil spills is not fun.

aslong as its not leaking massive amounts of oil you might be okay for short distances....its not really advisable to drive it like that. you're risking alot..

good job on use of zipties :) lovin the colors

the bolts shouldn't be more than $4 a peice, thats how much they usually charge for any bolts. try telling the dealership that when you called before they told you 2$ a bolt. works a lot of the time.dunno why you would waste your time goin to a stealership, try ace hardware, take a bolt with you and match it.
