Well I am looking into buying one of these and not sure on which ones to go with. My plans are to both drift and auto-x my car so i wanted to see if I can get some opinions on them and see what I should go with. Here is a link to there website: http://www.ksportusa.com/asp/coilovers.asp (http://www.ksportusa.com/asp/coilovers.asp)

I have a S14 by the way

Don't bother - they all suck.

A set of Koni yellows + GC coilovers will blow them away and cost about the same amount.

DEF- What were your last set of Coilovers? Feedback on them please?

PCH- What is your budget? This thread answers just about all....

Search next time, though. KSport stuff has been discussed many times here.

Well I currently have Tanabe Sustec Protec S-OC but I want something with dampening adjustability plus these are too bouncy for my taste.

Depends what your priorities are.

Look into Stance and PSM as well, depending what you want to get out of the car.

Well I did search but just found pros and cons about K-sport but no comparisons with each other or other brand models. I have heard of the stories of how they blow out and what not. It is really not a priority to me seeing that I have coilovers.

The damping is sub-par compared to their counterparts.

for the money ksport/D2 are a good option, but if you have tanabes, and are getting rid of them because of their damping, then you will not be happy with ksports.

yep I know. Brady is a local star around here; he drives the ksprt integra and he runs ksports in his s2k as well.

What about non-DD usage? (ie racing+drifting)

well you'd still never be able to just bolt them in. The mods to install them aren't really that bad if you have a bit of wrench time.

If not it's not that expensive to have someone just bench prep them.

I am running on "SPL" coilovers. They do a great job for me, but at the same time I'd love to drive the Koni's and see how hard it really is to adjust the rear.

I had K-Sports. They wouldn't be a bad set if you were getting them used and just wanted the car lower - they honestly didn't feel much worse than the usual low end Tein/SPL/Stance coilovers. The K-Sports have too much low/high speed compression, the others have what feels like almost no low speed rebound if you get everything else "kinda right."

I now have Koni 8611/Koni 8610s(about to go on) on my car - better than anything else you'll find on an S-chassis shy of $2-3k.

To adjust S13/Z32 koni yellows in the rear you'll have to remove the shock from the car, remove the spring, compress the shock and then rotate the shaft. A PITA.

There is supposedly a Koni yellow for some Eclipse model that is externally adjustable, but I've never heard any firm details on it. I think it's supposed to work with stock S13 nasty iron uprights.
