PLEASE SOMEONE HELP! OK the problem is the car will not run, just turns over. 93 ka24de No codes but 34. I'm getting a knock sensor code. knock sensor has been changed, its sub-harness has been changed. I have not ohmed from sub harness plug to ecu caused I don't know what pin #. It has fuel and fire, its in time, for troubleshooting i've changed the ecu, maf, knock sensor, dis., coil, all ground are good. it has a new fuel pump, plugs, wires, dis. cap and rotor, fuel filter. gas is good too. i've worked on 240's for a couple of years and i'm stumped. please i don't want to have to blow this thing up. HELP. P.S. one thing I don't know is what sensors will not let the car run? thanks Lee

maybe you have a bad maf? have you tried using starting fluid to start the car? or also ECU could be fried

The camshaft position sensor, which is in the dist, might be the problem. The internal seal can fail and engine oil will get inside the sensor, blocking the optical sensor. If this happens, the engine won't run and it won't generate a code.

To check it, pull the distributor and hook up the connectors. Turn the ignition switch to on and rotate the distributor. If you hear the injectors clicking, it's good. If they don't, it's bad.

I will try that. I did change the maf and ecu. other ones were good. one thing I did notice was when i did a continuity check for the knock sensor between the sensor plug to the ecu i had continuity on 9 PINS. I'm no genius but that doesn't sound right.

You should also get a nice blue spark from doing this also. If everything seems to be working when you do this, my guess is it's out of time.

As for you knock sensor, it's shielded. Along with the maf, tps, and ect are shielded to ground. Sounds like your shielding (ground) has gotten through the insulation of the knock sensor wire somehow, maybe pinched ect.

You may also be pinning the wrong pin at the knock sensor harness plug too, which would be ground.

hate to give the bad news but I relies that those wires are shielded. I'm not a newbie. And I have been a environmental/ectrical specialist for 6 years on aircraft in the USAF and a mechanic for CAT. AND i have the factory service manual. so if i or anyone i know couldn't figure it out I would ask HERE. and it's IN TIME please give me something I don't know. read the first post and reply. thanks you
