west, how stiff are those springs? if theyre as stiff (or more stiff) than sportlines, i'd be very interested.

also, the clears look like fronts, not sidemarkers. correct?

West

They might be. Im not too sure I just ordered them thinking they were side markers. I will find out when they get here from Japan in a week or so.

the fronts have an exterior screw, the sides don't.

so any info on the springs?

West

They should be very simular to the sportlines, although maybe a little stiffer. IMHO thats a good thing with a lower drop so you dont bottom out as much. Sportlines are too soft IMHO. Let me know if you want to know anything else.

OK WeST, i gotta ask, i've seen them mentioned in a few threads: What are tension rods, and what do they do?

West
10-18-2001, 09:03 AM
From my previous post in the for sale section for my Z tension rods.
___________________________________________

These will make your car feel alot lighter and more solid around turns. Your stock rubber bushings in your weak rods are probly toast by now.

They will allow for Caster adjustment on the fronts. The caster adjustment will let you fix your steering wheel from steering to the right or left in case you have hit any curbs. (It wont help if your frame is bent though)

Basically its a more cost effective way rather than going and getting the PDM Bushings and its stiffer and just simply is better.

Tension Rods are a big part on why your steering wheel shakes like crazy at speeds. These rods will help to eliminate that unstableness and allow you to fly through turns.

hey west, what would you use to correct camber with the lowering springs that is reasonably priced? if there is something for all 4 corners, then i'll take the springs.

in my searches, it seems that the only way to fix rear camber on the 240 is with new upper control arms ($360). is this correct? approx how much would the camber be off?

West
10-18-2001, 01:10 PM
I got the Cusco Upper Control Arms. Although I might take them off and sell them. That is by far the best way to fix it, otherwise PDM sells the bushings, but I have never heard of anyone actually installing them. If your interested in my Cusco Upper Contol Arm let me know and I will think about removing it and then selling it to you. I just installed it last week.

Let me know if you want the springs. I accapt paypal and I can send anything out Monday-Friday.

I searched around for a website but couldnt find anything on them

They are very reputible though. They make alot of stuff even manifolds for the SR20DET, they also make brakes, Short Shifters, Tie Rods, etc. TONS o stuff.

If I had more info I would give it to ya but I'm just not sure where there website is.

I would meet up with you but I should have my car sold by then. If I dont though then we should meet up.

Oh by the way, how is the installation of the aladin 2000 alarm system? is it hard and very different from the regular system avialable in US?

West

I was told Best Buy could install the alarm. So ask them about it to see how much it might cost.

how did you get that monkey magic stuff?? did you have a friend pick them up??? Monkey Magic for those that do not know, is a hard core Nissan 180SX/Silvia Tuner Shop in Japan. The owner of Monkey Magic, kinda resembles a Monkey "hence the name" . This is good quality JDM stuff and hard to find here in the states. The owner of the shop is also one of the best drifters in Japan. He can be seen on tons of Option Videos.
