I bought a zenki from my buddy earlier this year in non running condition. I finally got to tear the motor apart and found this bouncing around in the intake runner on the manifold. Any idea if it is supposed to be in the motor and it just broke off?

It's an alarm remote and a key.

It's what left of the IAT. Somehow it ended up in the engine, which is sort of impossible actually. Maybe the previous owner stuffed it in the airbox for some reason.

IAT? What is that?

Edit: did some research and I found out what it is.

Where is this sensor located though, and if i put my motor back together I need to replace it right?

Intake air temperature sensor, part of the OBD system. Not needed, though it will throw a code.
