trans problems

so i just got a car a few weeks ago. its a 89 coupe with the stock sohc in it. the kid i got it off of said he had to put a new 5 spd tranny in it. he says it needs trans fluid. but to me it sounds like the throught bearing. if the trans is low would it make the noise like that? thanks for any help

No it wouldn't. probably a throw out nearing or a transmission input/output shaft bearing

what does the noise sound like? have you even tried tranny fluid yet? see if it needs fluid first b4 you mess with the t.o bearing. try to post up a vid or somethin so we can hear the noise.
