hey wuts up, there is a 90 240sx around here and its an auto, i really want a manual, but im gonna swap out the eng to an sr20det anyway, so my question is, how much more difficult is it to swap from auto to man in this swap? or would it not make a difference? i really appreciate it, thanx

well it would definetly make a difference. i did the auto-2-manual swap on my car and it involved more than just popping in a different tranny. the first thing you half to ask yourself is, who will be doing the swap? if you do it yourself then all youll have to pay for is parts, which will run you about $400-$500 for everything(from junkyards). in that case if you can get the auto 240 for significantly cheaper than a manual(or if thats just the only 240 available in your area), then go for it. but note that if you plan to have someone else do the swap for you, expect them to charge you around $700-$1200. if you want a list of parts you need to do the swap just email me and ill email it to you. later.

Heres what you do... take your car. Remove your engine, and drop it in that bitch.

Well thats what I am doing to this 90 around my way. My ride is in shit condition and I would like to drive the stick.... We'll see how that all rolls out.

Check out the FAQ section, there is a break down of it all I think in there.

rObsolete rules again!

I was thinking about doing the swap to my car to but the sr20 is fast as hell w/ the auto. I woulldnt think there would be that big of a diffrence. If anyone knows for sure that the manual is faster in the 1/4 let me know, I just might do the swap.
